ABOUT ELENA
Elena is a queer/genderqueer, biracial/Latina (Mexican), performer, theater artist, voice actor, and narrator passionate about telling relevant and truthful stories that make us think, feel, and question the world we live in. Born and raised in Los Angeles (Tongva, Chumash), they were exposed to a community of Latinx artists across a variety of mediums who motivate their work today. Since completing the selective Penguin Random House Narrator Mentorship Program in 2022, Elena has recorded more than 20 audiobooks for Penguin Random House, Harper Audio, Hachette Book Group, and Learning Ally. They recently won an Audiofile Magazine Earphones Award.
Whether behind the mic, on stage, or in front of the camera, Elena is inspired by work that authentically reflects our past and present, imagines new futures, promotes liberation and joy, and uplifts the voices of marginalized folk.
Elena uses they/them and she/her pronouns.
